At Lotus Behavioral Health Services, we know how essential sleep is to your mental, emotional, and physical health. If you’re struggling to fall asleep, stay asleep, or wake up feeling unrested, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to suffer in silence. Our team offers expert treatment for insomnia that helps you understand the root causes of your sleep struggles and guides you toward long-term, restful sleep.

What is Insomnia?

Insomnia is a common sleep disorder that makes it difficult to fall asleep, stay asleep, or get quality rest. It can be short-term—due to stress, illness, or life changes—or chronic, lasting weeks or months and severely impacting daily life. Insomnia often contributes to fatigue, irritability, poor concentration, and even depression or anxiety.

Common symptoms include:

  • Trouble falling asleep at night
  • Frequent waking during the night
  • Waking up too early and being unable to return to sleep
  • Feeling tired or unrefreshed after sleep
  • Difficulty focusing or functioning during the day

Sleep issues can become a frustrating cycle, but with the right treatment, that cycle can be broken.

How We Treat Insomnia

Our approach to insomnia care is personalized and evidence-based. We combine effective behavioral therapies, lifestyle guidance, and, when needed, medication support to help you achieve deeper, more restorative sleep.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is our most recommended treatment. This therapy addresses the thoughts and habits that interfere with sleep—replacing them with healthier sleep patterns and mindset shifts. It’s proven to be more effective long-term than sleep medications alone.

We also explore stress management, nighttime routines, and relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, mindfulness, and guided imagery to promote better rest.

Medication Support

In some cases, short-term or carefully managed use of sleep medications may be appropriate. Our psychiatric providers work with you to evaluate whether medication is needed, prescribe safely, and provide regular follow-up to ensure it supports your recovery without dependence or side effects.

Who We Help

We treat children (ages 6+), teens, and adults who are struggling with insomnia caused by stress, anxiety, depression, medical conditions, ADHD, or lifestyle disruptions. Whether sleep issues are new or something you’ve faced for years, we’re here to help you find relief.
